The Piñon

The Piñon is one of our four charming cabins to choose from when booking a stay at the Historic Starlight Canyon Bed & Breakfast. Each cabin is truly unique and The Piñon is no exception! This is a cozy romantic retreat that has all the comforts of home — and much more!
The open and woodsy feel is part of The Piñon’s charm. As you enter through the front door, you’ll see the lovely wooden bar and kitchen area. You’ll have the amenities of a refrigerator and microwave along with a coffee maker and fresh grounds for the morning. At night, the lighting of the decorative fixtures over the bar can help make for a truly intimate feel to a dinner for two.
The living room area has a welcoming and comfortable feel with a plush leather loveseat and oversized entertainment center. It’s perfect for spending an afternoon curled up together with nothing to do but enjoy the time taken for the two of you. The Piñon has satellite TV, a selection of movie channels and a DVD player for your enjoyment.
The king-size bed is soft as a cloud and you’ll find yourself slipping into a deep and restful sleep amid the peace and quiet. The bathroom has an roomy tub, plenty of plush towels, and an enchanting theme that you won’t soon forget.
Outside, you’ll find yourself on a patio featuring a wall built from sandstone locally quarried from Palo Duro Canyon. On a sunny summer day, this is a perfect patch of shade! Under a covered portion of the patio, there is a full-sized hot tub with plenty of room for two. What better way to spend an evening with the one you love than gazing up at the starry Texas night sky while soaking in luxurious bliss?
Connected to the patio is a small fenced-in yard area with a gate that opens up into a larger fenced in grassy area. If you are a guest who plans to bring your pet(s), this unique feature of the The Piñon would make this the best cabin for you to select. You’ll feel that much more at ease if you have a secure area for your use.
For our wedding packages, The Piñon is the cabin that is designated for use by the groom and groomsmen prior to the ceremony. Here, they will meet to dress and prepare for the groom’s big moment at the altar while sharing in the spirit of camaraderie and brotherhood.
